I just purchased and downloaded VideoStudio 11 Plus. Help(?)>About shows Ulead VideoStudio 11.0.0157.0 Plus. I went to ?>Product Updates on the Web and see the following 3 items. Does the version I just installed already have these or do I need to add them? Is there a way to configure automatic updates?

Installation failed. In some cases, during installation of VideoStudio 11/11Plus the error message "A fatal error has occured during installation" after the message "AVControl SDK will be installed" appears.

No automatic updates, I am afraid.
Moreover, so far you have only the original VS11+. If you have already installed it and had no trouble with the installation, then ignore Hot Fix 01. It is ONLY to be used if the circumstances outlined in the note below it on the Ulead website occur.
However, you should definitely download and install, in this order, the 6 November update patch (which corrects various things in the original install), then the Power Pack. This will convert your VS11+ to VS11.5+ (and it is designated in Help > About as version 11.5.0157.2 Plus).
When I bought the upgrade to VS11+ when it was first released, I received 3 download links (from Element5 -- this was before Corel itself took over the purchase arrangements, so they may have changed). I received a link to the main program installation, a second link to the Extra Content (which needed to be installed to complete a full VS installation) and the third link to Bonus Features. These were extraneous to the full operation of VS, and included InterVideo WinDVD. So the user could elect not to install anything from this link and still have all the functions of a full VS11/11.5+
However, as I say, Corel may have changed things. Initially they were only giving out the main program link, and not those to the Extra Content and Bonus. We raised this with them on numerous occasions but are not really sure of what effect this might have had. None of use here are Corel employees, you see, so we aren't really aware of their current practice, and it could be that they have merged the main installation and Extra Content links into one Content Pack as you describe it. Sorry I can't be more helpful on this particular point.
