VS 11+ capture problem

Post by grahamjmwhibley »

I cannot capture video via a Dazzle interface in Video Studio + I keep getting
an error message saying "cannot start capture graph" I could include a screen dump if I could find a way to do it on this site

Welcome to the forums,

Don't feel alone, as others have the same issue. I don't think there is a fix for this. Dazzle is manufactured by Pinnacle, which is a competitor of Corel/Ulead. They include their software with the capture device correct? Good reason to, they don't want you to use any other software to capture or edit with.

However you can still capture using their software. Once you have captured your video, then open up VS, and insert your captured clips. This is not a taboo practice. Many members use several programs from capturing to burning and labeling the DVDs or sending to the web.

If you need an extra one, I have one I've not got around to throwing it in the trash can. It's been taking up space in a junk box of mine...;)

I have managed to do it previously, but since installing 11+ no go,
all I am using is the Dazzle VHS to DVD teardrop shaped thing that you put between the VHS recorder and plugs in via a USB port
