Windows Installer trys to configure WinDVD
Every time I boot up Windows installer tries to configure WinDVD and I have to wait for a chance to stop it. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this pest?

Welcome to the forums,
First we need to know what version, and is it the full version or one that came bundled with VideoStudio? What OS are you running?
At any rate, something went afoul in the installation. I've never seen this occur. I would say uninstall it, completely and try re-installing the program. Windows should not need to configure it at every single bootup.
I'd also do some checking for malware, spyware, and viruses. Something is messing with your system, in a way that's not good..

Windows Installer/ WinDVD
Thanks for the reply to my post. I have the full version WinDVD 8, I'm running Windows home addition with "SP-2" . I hve scanned many times for mallware, spyware and viruses, no problems. I have uninstalled WinDVD and reinstalled each time, nothing works. I would just like to get rid of WinDVD completely !
