Audio out of sync in DVD

Post by kiso »

First of all, great product. After weeks of struggling with another product, this is a nice change.

My project duration is 26:18.16. It contains pictures and video. I captured the video using another computer and windows movie maker because i didn't have firewire on the computer that i'm editing with. They were saved as avi's. Now, when I right click the clips, I see various formats. None tell me whether frame based or which field first. I'm not using any of the footage audio. I have 7 mp3 audio clips for my music. I'm done with the project and love the finished product. I took extra time syncing audio fades with video and pic fades at the beginning and end of each song.
Here's the problem, when I share>create disc it works great with one exception. The audio on several songs ends before it should. When I preview it, its all like it should be, but after the burn it's not. Oddly enough the begining of each song and it's respective video is fine. It is like it is burning the audio faster than the preview window is showing and playing it.
Any Help?

a common enough problem when using audio MP3's...convert them to WAV files and for that you can use a free program called Audacity. but you may already have a converter

Thanks

Thanks! I thought that might be the issue since the file type that video studio rips to is wav. Maybe a patch could fix this problem since mp3 is so common. Thanks again

This has been a problem with many previous versions of VS, so don't hold your breath for that patch.
