Did total unistall of Ulead Products (COMPLETE CLEANUP). This error comes up at the end of fresh installation. Did anyone have this problem and if so, is there a solution?

Have you tried manually registering the file? Open your Run window and type into it "regsvr32 /i ulMDMgr.dll" (without the quotation marks) and then press OK. Let us know how it worked...

Manual registration does not work either. The return code for failure is 0x80040154

Time to drop back, and get some more info...

Please complete your System Information in your profile. Clicking on this button -->Image will take you to a short tutorial, explaining how to find and complete that information. This way it will always be available, and will save you from retyping it in the future.
  1. We don't know if you're installing on Vista, XP or Win98se?
  2. Have you tried installing with your antivirus, spyware, malware, anyother type of TSR utilities disabled/shutdown?
  3. Installing from Disc or ESD (download)?
  4. System Maintenance-defragged recently?
  5. Once you uninstalled, and manually removed everything related to VS, did you reboot before reinstalling?
  6. Checked to see if your drivers are up to date
  7. Downloaded and installed the Hotfix for VS 11?

ad 1) Installing on XP SP2
ad 2) MCAfee on, but no warnings
ad 3) Installing from CD
ad 4) no, but cleaned (on frequently base)
ad 5) did more than on install, deinstall and reboots :))
ad 6) what drivers should be up to date ? Graphics (up to date) or Sound
ad 7) suppose that V11.5 Plus is younger than this hotfix
(installed the hotfix anyway)
