speed overlay track

Post by surfer »

I want to set the speed for the clips on the overlay track. I mean the speed how fast they come in. For example:
The first clips is 40 seconds. Then on overlay track 1 a second clip comes in from left up. Then the second overlay track 10 seconds later comes another clip right up. So the goal is 4 clips on the screen. But the speed on wich they come in is very slow. Is this speed configurable?
I mean it takes at least 10 seconds for the first clip who comes in un the upper right corner to display fully...and then the second clip is also starting coming in.

It is in VS11+ is that the version you are using too?

You adjust the rate and speed with the toggles underneath the preview screen when you are in "Clip" mode.

It's a little fiddly at first but once you get the hang of it it's easy.

Hi

Select the clip in the overlay track

Float your mouse over the Blue Bar below the preview screen for tool tip (Pause Duration)

Drag the trim handles to adjust duration/time

Usually defaults to one third of the total

hope this helps

Under the Preview window is a horizontal blue bar, which has triangles at each end. That blue bar is called the Pause / Duration, or Trim, depending on what function you're attempting. Dragging the triangles at the ends, shortens or lengthens the duration that the clip appears.

The longer the blue bar, the longer the pause (time the clip is viewable in a static state) on the screen, AND the shorter or quicker the effect/motion of the clip appearing (entering from left, exiting to right, ect).

Please review page# 83 of the VS11 Manual.
