i downloaded a 30 day trial of ulead video studio 11.after the installation in xpsp2, i fail to

run the program getting an error message

"The ordinal 17 could not be located in the dynamic link library mpgvout.dll"

why it happens?

in addition,there is no problem when i installed it on win server 2003 standerd

edition.

Welcome to the forums,

I've never seen this error before. The best I can tell is that the mpgvout.dll, which is a Ulead driver, is either missing or corrupt. You will need to reinstall the program to try and correct it. When you do, make sure to shutdown any un-necessary background utilities and programs (antivirus, spyware, ect..).

Try doing a complete un-install/re-install. Ulead programs leave a lot of files behind. So just doing a simple add/remove programs from the control panel and then re-installing may not correct some issues. Instructions can be found here : Re-installation of Ulead Products
