Hi there,
It seems that ever since I installed Nero, WINDVD will not show the video when playing certain movies... .avi for instance. I get audio but a black screen for video. Yet Nero Showtime 4.1 plays the movie just fine. WINDVD used to play the movie perfectly.
Has anyone come across this issue? Any ideas of a fix?
Thanks,
bgg

I don't use Nero, so I've never experienced this..
However Nero will install a packet-writing utility that may hi-jack your DVD player/burner. This can be uninstalled via the Add/Remove Programs control panel.
That may not be the problem, but it's worth investigation. Next have you tried re-installing WinDVD after Nero was installed? Sometimes Windows will give priorty to the most recent install. I know with some imaging apps, I have had to do this, because the latest install took over everything.
