NO AUDIO ON DVD MF4 RECORDINGS
I am trying to copy video camera tapes (Hi8) to my computer using DVD MF4. I can get the video saved but not the audio. However, when I am recording, I get audio through the computer speakers. What am I doing wrong? Please help. Operating system is XP. Thanks!
Are you running MF4SE? If so, it likely audio loss is due to ULead having not included driver workings for conversion and burning captured Dolby and/or AC3 audio tracking.
If your camera can be set to another MPEG that doesn't use AC3 or Dolby (mono, etc.), your MF4' should then reproduce the audio.
And if it's sterio you must have, a work around is to user something on your camera's video files (SUPER, etc.) that converts the file to AVI, WMV or MPEG, such that the Dobly/AC3 is converted to mp2 or WAV16 audio as MF4SE does support those audio's.
Sad that ULead provides MF4SE and/or MF4 a so called 'User Guide' with not much more than the equivalent of a marketing description instead of a real guide (i.e.; the 'instructions for copying a DVD and/or importing a DVD consists of virtually nothing more than telling us we can do it).
