ulead dvd movie factory 6 plus crash!! Help!!!

I have vista and tried to capture film from my dv cam using udmf. when program wants to add the film which is in avi format captured, it crashes the same when i manualy add it. film is playable in windows and looks ok( in captured folder) , not in udmf. it works ok if i capture with mpeg format, but quality is not the same.

please can some one help..

file size: any file size is tested. from 1mb to 12gb ( avi crash)
firewire: using firewire to coonect to camera.
output : dvd pal
nor error code: just crashing when adding avi or during adding finished captured avi format.

my system:
Acer aspire 9300 series note book
vista home premium
processor: amd 64X2 1,62 gh
memory: ddr2 2GB
harddisk: 250GB
