Several transition effects not working

Post by Doug Sundquist »

I'm having trouble with several transition effects not working. I had the trial version installed and assumed they were disabled teasers but I'm experiencing the same problem with an activated version of VS11+. Those that don't work appear in the effects library but if you drag one into the timeline they do nothing. Also I notice that they show a blank preview in the preview screen whereas those that work show correctly in the preview screen. The entire Album collection has this problem as do several others from others like the 3d collection. I'm running Vista on a dual core AMD processor with 2 GB of memory and 200+ GB of available disk space. Other than this problem the application seems to be performing great and I really love it and I can't wait to have a real project to work on. I did search the forum but I couldn't find anyting related. :(

Welcome to the forums, and welcome to Vista's crap...

This is normal for VS11+ running on Vista. However there are some of those transitions that need to have a dark background to see them.

I have ran VS11+ on both XP and Vista. The transitions and albums work fine on an XP box, but on Vista, no good. It's not a VS problem, but what Vista will not support. So Corel had no choice but to disable those if installed on Vista.

I'm trying to find out if this is addressed in the almost due Vista Service Pack 1...not much luck so far.
