I've been trying to limit the number of graphic formats that the 'Save As' box shows me in the 'Save as Type' drop down box, because there are so many I never use, and the one I use a lot, .GIF, is normally off the top of the list, so I have to scroll up to select it every time. (Why do programmers do that? Why not just make the list display all of the options, (within reason), instead of forcing users to have to scroll all the time?)
Anyway, I went into the Preferences page, and unticked 'List all file formats in the Save As dialog box', and ticked GIF, JPEG, BMP, PNG, and UFO.
But my Save As list still has 21 different file formats, only now, GIF is missing completely!
Am I going mad, or is there something I'm doing wrong here?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Am I going mad,
Yep, probably so, any Corel/Ulead program can cause this. It's listed as a side-affect on the warning label found on the inside bottom cover of the box..
No, there's no way to alter that list. That is an interesting idea though. Have a means for the user to select those formats presented in the save as..
