I am currently using VS9 and thinking of upgrading to VS11+. I have been through VS6, 7, 8, & 9. I distinctly remember using a 3-stage Pan & Zoom. It gave you the option to designate a point in the middle of the sequence and thereby pan both in and out in the same sequence or vice-versa. I am told by tech support that the best way to do this is to split the sequence; pan in on seq. 1 and pan out on seq. 2.
Am I going crazy or does anybody else remember a three stage Pan & Zoom?

Yes I sure do remember that, old method of pan & zoom. What came about with VS10, was Keyframe control. Much, much better then the 3 stage. With keyframes, you can have about as many "stage controls" as you want.
Simply click on the customize for the pan & zoom effect, then add a keyframe, adjust the settings, and keep going.
