VS11+ Trial Download will not work

Post by KWisher »

Downloaded the 140mb file. Installed to the default location. Program will start but crashes when I import a AVI vidoe file either to the library or timeline. Tried installing the Patch file but get the error that ULEAD is not installed on my system. Same error for the PowerPack download.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm pretty sure the patches will only load with the purchase version of VS. The powerpack only works with vs11+ I believe.

So lets try and work out why your trial versionis crashing when adding an AVI file.

We'll have to begin with where did you get the AVI video from?

If your .avi is really a DivX or XVid mpeg-4 which uses .avi as its carrier extension, you will of course have to have the DivX or XVid codec already installed on your computer. It does not get installed by Video Studio or Windows...

The file was captured & created with Pinnacle Studio ver-9. The file will open and play in Windows Media ver-11.
