its been over a year since i have used the program, but a family member wanted me to make a slide show for them and im having difficulties remebering what im doing.
i think i have most of it figured out now, with about 93 photos in my lineup and a background song i cant seem to find the transition options for the slides.... also when i click play it only plays for about 3-8 seconds (random timing) with a black screen
i am using DVD Workshop, im pretty sure it is not DVD Workshop 2

You may have found your answer by now, but I have uploaded some images for your review.
go to this url:

and view the below sequence of images.

001(5).jpg
You need to be on the edit tab and above the video footage there is a small icon to add an image.
once you select all images in your folder (ctrl+a), let it load and you will see the images show on the right of the GUI as individual images and at the bottom as footage.
I found that you can't ammend additional images into another slide show.
If you want one slide show, remember to make a temp folder to throw all of the images you want in the slide show. otherwise if you use multiple folders, you can have multiple slideshows.
I hope this helps,

Hi cgman
I'm using WS for a few years and never made a Slidshow with it and reading this post I decided to give it a try.
Here are the details of the assets I am using:
70 Images
1 audio track and it's duration is 203 sec.
Now I'll describe the problem:
If I choose "Match to Audio Duration"I get a message that says:"the duration of each image in the slide show will chang"(which is logic ofcourse) and I click "yes".I assume now that each image's duration will be approx.3 sec. but...
If I go back to the "Image" tab and I choose "add Transition" I get the message" The audio duration is not long enough to apply a transition effect. The match to Audio Duration option must be cleared"
If I start from the "Image" tab and I choose "add Transition" the "match to audio Duration" is grayed out and can't be chosen.
A slide show where an Image is displayd for 3 sec is more then enough and my question is how do I overcome the above?
Thanks
Danny

Re: slideshow
Dannyp,
Lets just say each transition is 1 second in length. and you have 70 images this would be an extra 72 seconds (including before 1st and after last slide), you will need for your music length. This causes a serious problem when DVDWS tries to adjust the images to the audio length and it ends up being way too long. This is, more than likely, the reason you can't select that option after your transitions have been applied.
My suggestion is to choose a longer song, or edit your current song and step it down a bit so you can't tell you slowed it down to try and get your slideshow/transitions to fit. The longer the song, the better.
Who said we wouldn't use math in the real world...?
