Unable to Capture in V11

Post by Maxtor »

When I use VideoStudio V11+ and try to capture from my video cam, a popup comes up and says, "Unable to switch to capture mode. Check if your Video Capture Driver is working properly".
I am also using DVDXpressDX2 with this.

How do I correct this? In the mean time I've been using the capture mode that comes with DVDXpress.

Thanks in advance :D

What make and model is your DVD cam? If it is a Digital 8 and your placing an analog tape in the camcorder to covert to digital, there is still a bug that was not corrected, where it will not capture this way. The pass-through issue, using a camcorder or other device as analog to digital pass-through conversion was corrected with the update patch dated 11/06/2007; http://www.ulead.com/tech/vs/vs_ftp.htm

How does your Capture Cam connect to your PC, hopefully Firewire (Sony calls it i-Link) ? Does Windows recognize the Capture Cam? Windows should make sound when it sees a new device being connected.
