Cannot start capture graph

Although I read thruogh similar topics, I did not become much wiser, so I decided to start an own one.
I have been happily using VS since V8 (continuosly upgrading to newer versions) without problems, everthying worked fine - including capturing. Also purchased V11 Plus when it became available. But then I got first major disappointment. Whenever I tried to capture, I got the cannot start the capture graph message. Before the patch was released, I had promises from Ulead / Corel technical staff that they have knowlegded this problem and it is ought to be solved in an upcoming patch. Then this patch and the power pack was installed, but again, I cannot capture.
I use the following Video devices: Camera: Canon MVX 250i. Connection: Firewire. Media type: mini DV. Capture format: DV type-1. System is WinXP SP2, with dedicated hard drive for capturing using all proposed tweaks.
I reinstalled VS 8, which does capture without problem, and edit in VS11+.
Any ideas, how I can force VS11+ with update pack 1 and powerpack to capture?? Thanks in advance.
