Sorry for starting a new thread..and looking at some of the others around at least my program isnt crashing at 99%!! but i would like to know the answer to this little ole' question...
...dvd menus...automatically ( for me it seems ) on my template when i do my play wedding and scene selections....i cant seem to shift a small triangle and what appears to be a feather overlapping those words which seem to need to be pressed in order for them to work.
Anyone know at least how i can change the Feather?
Also, this stuttering of my dvd...only at times...thinking anything to do with having a load of overlays..fading in and out all crammed together - would this have an effect?
Finally finally... BURNING AT 8X times, i will be trying to locate via mycomputer the burner speed..as others have suggested..but curious...why once when i burnt something up pops burn at 2x , 4x , 8x etc...but other times the lowest i can get is 8x.....burning the same project a day apart...why do you think one time it recognises different burner speeds....and if i can get it back to 2x....is this TOO slow? to burn?
thanks for any replies..all burning questions on my mind i can assure you.
the feather and the triangle

To change the feather overlay you need to copy the menu and using f.i. PhotoImpact change the overlay to something else then recreate the menu.
The stuttering of the DVD play is either a bad disk or a fussy player combined with high data bitrate. Try using a lower bitrate especially if you use PCM audio and/or VBR, prone to peaks.
No idea about the speed setting issue.
2x is not too slow, nothing is too slow on the other hand some here have agreed 4x is ideal and 8x gives poorer writing, adding difficulties on a subprime DVDR.
You can move the play-all triangle and the feather overlay if you select edit mode (tab up/left)

This my understanding of it.
I have been proven wrong on several occasions in my life. It's not going to improve.

The feather / triangle shapes you see on some menus are highlight images. Some menus have highlight images, some do not, it was up to the designer of the individual DVD menu whetehr to include one or not.
If you cannot select and drag the highlight image using VideoStudio then you can alter it by opening the UFO file with PhotoImpact.

Many overlays and effects can cause stuttering when you are watching your project in the Preview window in Instant Playback mode. Once it is rendered to your mpeg-2 file, even before burning, it should play perfectly.
