Need to re-edit ISO images

Post by ruggy1 »

I have an ISO image of an authored disk that I stuffed up the chapters on. The only way I seem to be able to edit this video is if I burn it to a DVD again then re-import it into DVD MF4 or Nero. It would be much easier if I could just import the ISO straight back into DVDMF4, but can't seem to find a way to do this. Anyone know how? Thanks in advance.

Extract

If you no longer have the original project/files, you can extract the DVD FOlders from the image.

I would use DVDShrink to open up the dvd image, and then write the folders to another drive of your computer (don't do any compression). Then just import the video from DVD (from DMF4)

Thanks for the suggestion but I could not find a way in either DVD Shrink or DVD Decryptor to import and process a DVD ISO file. The original way of burning to a DVD RW disk then importing back into MF4 works though so I will stick with this. Thanks

File-Open

In DVDShrink, FILE/OPEN DISC IMAGE (this lets you open a *.ISO DVD image)

Doing this I discovered a great new feature of MF4. With MF3, when you were importing VOB files from a VIDEO_TS directory they imported as up to 5 separate files that required the unpredictable JOIN feature to connect them all together again. Doing this in MF4, all the VOB files come in as a single file, and a lot faster too.

yes, the option to import FULL or SCENES was one of the "had to have" new features in DMF4 (imho).

Glad it worked out for you :)
