back-up downloaded software from ulead

Post by ant.scott »

Good morning all!
I have just had to recover my hard drive and added extra RAM. I lost my versions of photo impact xl and video studio 8. I am trying to re-download and am dealing with the retailer Element5. If i succeed, is it possible to burn the download to CD as back-up?
Sorry for what may seem to be an obvious question, but I am getting on a bit (that's my excuse)
Apprentice idiot, but I'm getting there!

Yes. I burn all downloaded software to CD. Have never had to use any, but you never know.

Whenever I download, I use 'Save As' instead of 'Run'. This gives me a copy on the hard drive to install from, which I also back up to CDR.

I always burn at least 2 copies to cd of any program that I download just in case one of the cd's gets messed up.
In fact you should get in the habit of burning to cd right after you download it, then install it.
