Captured Video file ntdll.dll lockup

Post by Delezynski »

Hello all,

First, is anyone using Windows XP home on a computer and capturing HD video in MPG from a Sony HDR-HC3 with no problems? If so I need to know it is working for you!

I just bought a new (last week) Dell Latitude D630
XP Home with SP2
A Dell 0WM416 motherboard
NVIDIA Quadro NVS 135M (display adapter) A
Sigmatel HD audio codec
A 2.2 Gig Intel Core2 Duo processor
A Hitachi 80 GB HD with 47 GB free
and 4 Gig of memory on 2 DIMM cards

I installed VS11+ and MSP8 on the laptop.

I am using VS11+ to capture the video and some editing, the MSP8 for editing.

All capture from VS11+ in SD quality works just fine.
When I capture MPG HD to a subdirectory, VS11+ AND MSP8 can read and edit it.
BUT, when I try to open the subdirectory with the captured video in it, the window locks up with a ntdll.dll error. I had to do a control+Alt+Delete to get control back. I then updated to DirectX 11 and I no longer have to do the CAD to get control back, but it still locks up and closes the window.

NOW the wired part, if I capture the video to the desktop, it works just fine, NO LUCKUP. Then, if I create a subdirectory and try to move or copy the MPG file into it, I get a lockup. If I did a copy, the desktop file still works just fine!

I have spent over an hour on the phone with Corel (very good support) and OVER 8 hours today on the phone with Dell. We replaced the XP twice and VS11+ once.

ANY IDEAS??? PLEASE???

If you have a similar system and it's working, I will directly call Dell and have them take the computer back! I only bought this computer to do video editing!
