Importing dvd menus

Post by lakewud »

Before i go completely insane..please could someone tell me..

How do i import a 25sec or so clip made by VS10+ bringing it into a menu..so as you put in the dvd this little 25sec plays.

Ive done it before, but it keeps saying, format mismatch etc..

Must i save the file first as something different?

Please advise, and please dont tell me to refer to dvd authoring...have looked through that advice countless times.

Have you saved the 25 second clip as an MPEG file?
(PAL DVD or NTSC DVD)

Have you then imported that MPEG file?

Hi lakewud

When you burn a Dvd the files created on disc are basically compatible Mpeg files.

When you insert a file to the burner module it is best to use compatible mpeg files.
This makes the process much easier.
You can of course use other files, but VS will change/render the files to Mpeg.

So what type of file have you used?

Start a new project. Add your file to the timeline.
Right click the file and select properties
What are they?

Hope this Helps
