Here is the situation. I have 2 overlay clips playing together. I need to fill the screen with one of the clips for the time I desire. Then the clip goes back to its original size & position. I need to control when the clip will fill the screen , how long it will stay and when it will shrink back.
The clip clould be an image or a video clip.
Any ideas ?

This can be done with VS.
VS does not have real moving paths, except for those Enter/Exit directional arrows found on the Attribute tab. So using the Cropping filter you give the illusion of a moving path.
MSP8, VS's big brother does have moving paths, that allow for more control for this type of effect.
- Place your video in an overlay track, right-click on clip in the Preview Window.
- Select Fit to Screen.
- Go to the Video Filter Library and drag the Cropping Filter to your Clip.
- Using the first preset, press the Customize Filter
- Now using the Keyframes, adjust the percentages, Height and Width.

How fast do you need it to "fill up" ? Is 0 to 100 in a few frames fast enough? You can use the methods described, just set the first keyframe to 0, 5 or 10 or whatever size you want to start at. Move the playhead a few frames to the right, hit the + key to add the keyframe, set that to 100, and bam, it goes to full screen in nothing flat..babdi wrote:SJJ
It works similar to Vidoman technique but quite slow. I need to fill up quick & easy. Cropping cuts off a portion off the video or image. I need full image but smaller sized.
Thank you for the work around
VS just does not do moving paths. That's for the bigger programs like MSP, APP(CS2), FCP, Edius, ect. Of course you will not pick them up for * "C" note either..
Example of This
* "C" note is slang for a US 100 dollar bill
