Is there a preference as to taking group of small vsp files from various directories and dropping them onto the time line of the main vsp.
Or should I import them into libraries.
It seems to me as if I have read that importing them into libraries is better than pasting them onto the time line.

dragging and droping onto the timeline vs the library

The actions are to all intents and purposes identical. One is not better than the other. It all depends on what you want to do. If, as I suspect you do from your other threads, you want to build up a set of stock .vsp's, then you would be better using Library Manager to create a new Video page called 'Stock Projects' or something like that. That will give you a clean library page. Then import all your .vsp files into that page. That way they will always be more readily accessible than hunting and pecking for them wherever they might be scattered over your computer.

Thanks for the answer.
As a side note, I just discovered something very interesting. Let me see if I can explain it.
I have a vsp file. I will call it alltheplayer.vsp
I also have vsp files for all the players.
I was able to copy the player vsp files into the alltheplayers.vsp.
so, it looks like this
alltheplayers.vsp
player1.vsp
player2.vsp
etc
I was able to copy ok in the above. However, when I trie to copy alltheplayers.vsp into another vsp file, it does not work. In other words, it only allows the copy of vsp files one layer deep.
in other words, i could not do this:
bigvspfile.vsp
alltheplayers.vsp
player1.vsp
player2.vsp
So,, i am createing a mpg file out of the alltheplayers.vsp file so it will look like this:
bigvspfile.vsp
alltheplayers.mpg
that will work I am sure.
But it was interesting to see the limitation.
