Strange problem?? Audio but no video?? - VS11

HI
i've got a strange problem that in VideoStudio 11 when i try to preview ANY video all i get is a black screen but the audio still works in the little screen to the side? but if i was to press pause it would show a video still of the part where i paused it

also if i was to click the scrolling bar under the screen and slowly drag it left to right i seem to get video.

SO basically i have no video when i play ... it'll show the video if i pause and also if i drag the bar under the screen i can get video playback ..

ANY help would be great..

sry it this doesn't make sence i found it hard to explain this strange problem i'm getting..

Check in File>Preferences (or Press F6), to see if Playback is set to something other than Preview Window..
