AC3 Plugin

Post by meta »

OK so I have imported some home moive I had on a DVD-RAM disc and no audio plays with it in Videostudio 8. I read through various posts and I see I need the AC-3 plugin. One small problem..

I can't find it!

Has Ulead removed it from their website forcing me to upgrade to version 9? or have they just missed it off?
help!

To my knowledge, AC3 (Dolby) has never been a free upgrade.

Meta,

If I remeber correctly the AC3 plug in was about $30 US. Look at it this way, for another $20 your getting the VS9 upgrade.

I looked but can't seem to find the plug-in for 8 either.

I knew the plugin wasn't free. I was happy to pay for it, but just couldn't find it to order.

Maybe I will have a look at VS9 to see if it's worth upgrading to that.

Wait I found it on the UK site (http://www.ulead.co.uk/vs/extra.htm)
Ulead VideoStudio Dolby ® Audio Plug-in

With the Ulead Audio Plug-in, VideoStudio supports the encoding and decoding of high-quality Dolby® Digital audio. Since the Dolby® Digital format offers superb audio quality at the fraction of standard file sizes, you can get longer videos on to your DVDs - still with great sound.

NOTE: VideoStudio 9 supports Dolby Digital without the need for this plugin. If you have VideoStudio 8 and want Dolby Digital support, please purchase this plugin or upgrade to version 9.

Purchase the Dolby ® Audio Plug-in £14.99 Coming Soon

I wonder how long 'coming soon' means?

Why would it be coming soon since it was there right before they launched VS9.

I gues they are making a slight change to it or something. Unless they have just taken it off so that more people buy VS9 instead!

Well I'm impatient, so I went for the VS9 upgrade. Seems good so far!

To tell you the truth for $20 more bucks it would be kind of dumb not too.
