I've been happy using HuffYUV for "worktaping" intricate composites. I see that there are a lot of lossless codecs out there. Is Huff still the gold standard or has a newer codec supplanted it?
There are two versions of HuffYUV floating around the web, v 2.1.1 and the updated 2.2.0. I read somewhere that 2.1.1 is still the better of the two, but I can't remember why. I'm all about quality, so would anyone care to weigh in on the merits of each/either version?
Also, I've just been using Huff's default settings. Any tips for tweaking the settings to squeeze every last perfect pixel out of it? Rendering time is not an issue.

2.2.0 crashes a lot more apparently. I say apparently because they are both unusable on my current machine....donny1959 wrote:I read somewhere that 2.1.1 is still the better of the two, but I can't remember why.
