I have a standalone version of heroglyph ad when i execute it, it sows me a checkable option to install its plug-in file called heroglyph.vio to the vio folder within VS11 but i caanot spot or figure out how to use heroglyph from WITHIN VS11. Yes, i do know that esternal support is possible by creating the hrpj files that can be imported and used in VS 11
I wonder why this plugin option for VS 11 has been provided by heroglyph in the first place or am i missing something here as to how to use this titler from within VS 11 (which i believe is the true meaning of the word "plug-in" as opposed to the phrase "formats supported"
Heroglyph 2.5 DOES NOT plug-in to vs11

No, I am afraid all it does is make the 'format supported'. It is not a true plug-in at all. I downloaded the Heroglyph manual a couple of weeks ago because someone else raised the same question. There is a true plug-in for Adobe Premiere and for Pinnacle, but not for Video Studio...
EDIT: I just did a search, and found that in fact I provided that information to you since I was you who raised the question before. Why ask again when you were already provided a detailed reply. See http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic. ... 363#139363

sorry ken - the reason was that i recently intsalled the service that upgrades Hero to 2.6 for heroglyph and there is where i noticed the plug-in for videostudio 11 so i thought they had updated.
Earlier i was using Hero 2.5 and took the earlier answer by you with reference to it being a supported format only as opposed to a plug-in for 2.5. Later i upgraded to 2.6 and thought that things might have become different but i was unable to figure it out. Your answer is now clear...sorry if i offended in any way

No offence taken. I guess it was partly my fault as I had downloaded the trial version of 2.6 and found the manual for that... But I agree that it is a pity there is not a more direct bridge for the program into VS when there clearly is for Adobe and Pinnacle. Not to mention somewhat deceptive advertising on the part of proDad. But all that being said, it is a pretty neat program, and I am definitely thinking of buying it!!!
