I'm getting a little frustrated. I purchased the upgrade version of VideoStudio 9 and when I attempt to install the program, it says that there are no Ulead products on my computer. I have VideoStudio 8 on my computer (in my C: drive in the Program Files folder). I uninstalled it and reinstalled it to no avail.
I can't even apply any fixed to VideoStudio 8 because those say I don't have any Ulead products either. I can't even apply the Daylight Savings fix. No matter how I try to direct VideoStudio 9 installer to where my VideoStudio 8 is located, it says it's nowhere on my computer. I feel like I'm out of $50.
I checked around the forum but found no successful answer to this problem. Is there one?
VideoStudio 8 won't upgrade to 9

I tried that - the installer CD I have is from softwrap.com. When I pointed to the disc, it said it still wasn't there. Could it be because the installer was zipped?bobfrank wrote:During the install you also are given the option to point the installer to a CD of your earlier version. In anticipation of getting my VS9 upgrade I had uninstalled VS8. All I had to do was insert my VS8 cd into the cd drive when the installer said there was no VS installed on my computer.

I would certainly unzip the files to a location and try pointing to them.

Sadly, it doesn't seem to let me simply unzip the files. If I right click, there is no option to extract. If I double click it will just extract and then automatically run the uninstaller (because currently VideoStudio 8 is installed).MikeGunter wrote:Hi,soundscene wrote:I tried that - the installer CD I have is from softwrap.com.
