VS9 Better then Pinnacle?

Post by IJAG »

Good Evening,

I currently am using Pinnacle Studio 8 and have used Edition 5 and I am not really happy with either.

Is VS9, Easy to learn that has advanced functions, to learn with?

Is VS9 buggy like ALL pinnacle products? Is VS9 woth the money?

Thanks for answering my questions

I couldn't tell right now. But I changed from Pinnacle to Ulead about 2 1/2 years ago. Ulead was much more stable and I found it more intuitive and with more functionality.

Do not know how how they compare nowadays. I'm sticking with Ulead anyhow. Despite some minor problems (perfect software doesn't exist)everything runs ok and satisfactory.

 I've had both Pinnacle 9 and ULead 8 for a while. ON MY COMPUTER Pinnacle 9 is very buggy and not tolerable. The ULead has been about as rock-solid steady as I can hope for out of any package (video editing OR other). I've tried Pinnacle's patches over and over and over as they're released, but still have crashes. They aren't always the same either; I guess the patches seem to fix one thing but not another. If there is an effect I want out of Pinnacle I'll just import the smallest clip necessary for me to apply the effect and then save it for editing in ULead once again. I have a lot of stuff on this PC, 1394 and USB2.0 drives, 2) DVD burners, between 5 and 7 internal drives, TV CARD (could be a culprit), too many video editing packages, too many disc burning apps, etc. Nonetheless, I can't remember the last time I crashed the ULead. Funny, back when it was version 3 (I think), I was using Pinnacle because it seemed more stable.

Hi,

Pinnacle is great when and if it works. I've tried the last three versions without success.

VS7, VS8, and VS9 have and still hum on my machines.
