problem in capturing

Hi
I have ulead mediastudio pro 8 and every thing is fine, but when i try to capture(press record) an erorr message comes up says :
Cannot start the capture graph.
and plaes check if the (Force to use preview mode) option is selected.
i selected the preview mode option and it didnt work
so anyone can help???

How are you connecting the cam to the pc?
Has it worked before?
Do you get the windows found new hardware balloon when you connect the cam and does it show in scanner and cameras in the control panel?

i have tv-tunre (analog video source )
and it worked the second time i tryed only, i recoded for 1 min
and the tv-tuner is working fine

What make of cam?
How are you connecting it? Analogue composite/s-video?

What about the programme that came with the tv tuner, can you capture with that, or does it also produce an error?

Have you checked for updates to the graphics card, directx, tuner card?
