I am having problems burning from VS8 to DVD. It was taking hours and hours to get to about 10%. I have created a file with about 600 photos with caption and music. Is the file too big or am I just doing something wrong??

Since we have absolutely no idea of exactly how big the file is, how you put it together, or what format it was in when you put it into the burning module of VS8, no one could even begin to suggest a possible solution!!

Please have a look at one of the sticky posts at the top of this Board, the one that says 'read this before posting', and get back to use with the requested information. Then someone might be able to help.

Off the cuff, though, I suspect you may simply have put all the photos together (and 600 is a lot to subject your family and friends to!!! ) in the timeline, then gone straight to Share > Create Disc, rather than first having converted the slideshow to a DVD compatible mpeg-2 file (Share > Create Video File > DVD). That is often the source of problems, but until we get the extra information, we can't be sure...
