Audio Help w/Studio 11

I'm using the trial version of Video Studio 11 and I'm trying to reduce the volume of the voice track when I'm adding my background music...then bring the voice track back up after the soundtrack is over. All I've read tells me how to do it...I've done it, but both tracks still play at the same time at the same volume....what am I missing....is it where I"m trying to play it back?....am I in the wrong place to play it back so that it all meshes together?

Hi

when you play back, make sure you are playing in 'Project Mode'

The word 'project' adjacent to the start/play button should be highlighted-in blue.
Click the word-project- before playing.

If you are playing in 'clip mode' then it will play the raw clip.(full volume)
