I hope someone can help me... I just finished our Christmas Video for the family, and when I got to the "finish" stage, it won't let me burn. I put in an empty DVD-R and it was accepted. I also have plenty of space on the disk and the hard drive. "Burn" highlights orange when the cursor is over it, but when I click it, I get a small box with a ! in a triangle. No error, just a place for me to click "ok". When "ok" is clicked, I'm back to the "finish" screen again like it's waiting for me to hit "burn"!!!!!
Can anyone help??? I've never had trouble before.
Thanks,
Melissa
BTW- I use MovieFactory 4
Won't burn to DVD All I get is ! error.
Movie Factory may be having trouble converting your video to MPEG-2 for the DVD, Or, if you have any other burning software on your computer, the other software may have "taken over" your DVD burner.
- First, try "burning" to your hard drive - Uncheck the box that says Create To Disc, and check the box that says Create DVD Folders.
- If that works, you will have AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders on your hard drive that you can play with your DVD-player software. And, if you do have other burning software, you can use it to copy those folders to an actual DVD. (Configure your burning software for a "Video DVD". If you simply copy the files/folders, they may end-up in the wrong physical sequence on the DVD.)
- If you are not able to create the DVD folders on your hard drive, then you have some sort of conversion problem and we need to know what video file format you are working with, what type of camera they came from, how you captured the video, etc.

I've occaisionally (frequently) had almost the same issue with MF4SE, except here it I see no error until after some 2 to 15 hours of supposedly burning, which ends up not burning even tho it usually (as optioned) creates the TS files (and they generally are cut off near the problem clip).
The only way I find to get such to burn, is to go back into the clips and convert any that I edited as well as assure that all the clips have the same audio (LPCM or MPEG), the same screen size, audio byte rate, video byte rate, etc.
Also, sometimes I find that either ticking or unticking the 'do not convert compliant MPEG file' to do the trick.
And to avoid my wasting many more hours (expecting further attempted DVD disc burns to succeed), I then test MF4SE by 'burning' a TS file and if their still is something buggy about one of the clips, it seems to fail a lot quicker.
I'm sure it would help greatly if ULead actually provided a real user guide instead of what amounts to a marketing description.
