Hi. I have VS11 Plus, XP etc.
I want to add around 20 quotes to a movie. I want them to scroll up and pause for a couple of seconds to allow the viewer to read them.
Is there any easy way to import all 20 clips (and have them formated etc), without typing every one of them (and formatting each one of them).
I thought of coping them all into Word and then somehow bring the word document (or somehow make the doc a picture) into VS. I was going to put around 5 lines between each quote and then have the VS image scroll up.
This is just so so. First I have been unable to get the Word file into VS. Second, even if I could, it would just scroll up and up and not pause for each clip.
So, i am back to trying to see if there is an easier way.
Thanks in advance,
Bob
PS, I put out a new question about this earlier but can not find it now. So if this is a dup of the same subject, sorry.

Hi Bob
You can use Copy and Paste to get the text into VS from ¡¥Word¡¦
Ctrl + A select all text.
Ctrl + C for copy
Ctrl + V for paste.
If you have several titles that have the same animation
Make the first one
Drag to the library to create a copy.
Drag the copy to the timeline for the second title, changing the text and duration only (copy and paste)
The animation will be the same.
Animation:-
Use the Fly option then Press the two ¡¥TT¡¦s¡¦ for a manual approach.
Start the Fly from Bottom to Middle.
Create a second title adjacent to first----Animate to ¡¥fade out¡¦ (use the library to copy the first, then edit the animation)
Hope this helps

Trevor,
Think something is not quite right. I understand Ctrl C A and V. But when you do a copy Ctrl C in word, you cannot do a paste (of the clipboard) in VS.
Nor, can you drag it. So, I am a little unsure of your instructions.
Bob
Rereading the instructions, it appears as if you are saying to type each of the 20 quotes.... I was trying to get around that.

Hi Bob
This is what i do:-
I open a ¡¥Word¡¦ document containing the text I want.
I use the mouse to select the text.
I press Ctrl + C (copy)
In Video Studio I click the Title Tab
I double click the Preview Screen
I press Ctrl + V (paste)
The text is copied to VS, creating the title.
The font size in VS seems to default to 57. ( a little large) This may have to be changed.
Are you saying that does not work for you.??????????

Morning Trevor.... 5 am Eastern time here and see you live over the pond and understand why you are up... I am the crazy one to be up.
I have to leave for around 40 minutes but before I did, I booted my machine and tried again.... yes, this time it worked....
OOLLM (One Of Life's Little Mysteries) why it was not working last night.
Anyway, I copied the text over to VS. I wish VS had Word Wrap and setting font Preferences... It may, but I have to leave for a bit and will try to see if it does when it come back.... unless you can enlighten me if VS has it or not.
Thanks for your help.
