Error Getting TWAIN Data Source

I've been trying to scan from within PI but when I click on the scanner button I get:

"Error in getting the TWAIN data source. Check if the device is properly connected to your computer, or reselect the device from the Select data source drop-down list."

The scanner is connected properly (it works when I use the scanner's sofware) and I've selected my scanner from the the data source drop-down list. I uninstalled and reinstalled my scanner's driver. What could be the problem?

I am having the exact same problem. I have searched the internet for an answer but have not found one.

Hi

The Twain device usually comes from the maker of the scanner. It is a driver that the O/S sees.

See if you can download updated drivers from the maker's website.
