L.S.
My Toshiba laptop came with Ulead DVD Moviefactory5 bundled in. I wanted to start a project. But it didn't work. Reinstalled it, added a downlowdable update and then it started working. Until it became unstable and kept crashing.
Next I downloaded the free trial version of Moviefactory 6 Plus and then I could continue editing my project nicely. I previewed the whole 1 hr and 20 min project and all seemed well. Until I came to the burning process. It started up (very slow progress) but at about 33% it stopped working. I tried 3 times and every time the same thing at the same place. I tried to make a few changes in editing, but still the same. I got the message Windows Host process (Rundll32) has stopped working.
After some research one suggestion on this board was that buying the program would solve the problem. Well, it did not. Always during the burning stage it stops around 37% on the progress bar. What is the solution? Who can help me?
Program stopped working correctly
There may be a problem with your video file.
What format are your video files, and where did they come from? The more-compressed formats tend to be trouble-prone, and can be "difficult" to edit and/or convert. The Read This First at the top of the forum tells you what we need to know.

Re: Program stopped working correctly
I would be interested to know how you managed to do that - my Toshiba Laptop with Vista Home Premium has MovieFactory 5 pre-installed. Toshiba only provide one recovery disc and that contains a "wim" file (Windows Image File) - it does not contain any of the pre-installed software as a separate entity. After searching the internet to find out all the ins and outs of a Windows Image File - I get the impression it is a sort of hard disc image rather like those created by Norton Ghost.Bert Hoefnagels wrote:L.S.

Now that you have purchased a full version of MovieFactory 6 all I can suggest is that you follow the clean re-installation procedure so remove all previous traces of MovieFactory 5 & 6.
