I intended to record a narration on the video I am editing now, however, when I click on the mic icon to record the narration, the program gives me a error saying it can't find the "source". I do have an upgraded sound card on one of my PCI (is that how you call it?) slots. However, it is well configured, my former soundcard driver's are removed and the mic works well on all other applications. I couldn't find anywhere in the program a place you could troubleshoot the mic source settings...
Any ideas?

Try checking your audio properties, by right-clicking on the speaker in the system try (right lower corner of your screen, near the clock), selecting open volume control. Then in the Master Volume dialog window select Options>Properties. Now in this dialog window make sure that the radial button beside Recording is checked, and there is a check in the box beside Microphone.
