Has any one tried, or is it possible to create your own Flash Menu Overlays for Movie Factory 6? If so, what would be involved?

Of course you can.

How do you insert the swf file/overlay into the menu?

With MovieFactory 6 you cannot directly add things to a DVD Menu and so you need to employ 1 of 2 alternative work rounds.

Method 1.
Create a short video and add the swf to that video and then use if as a background video on your DVD Menu.

Method 2.
Create a purpose built DVD Menu using PhotoImpact
