Upgrade Qualifications

Post by jfkeenan »

Hi All,

I just bought a new machine. Nice Dell with Core 2 Duo 3.0GHZ processor and 2GB ram using Vista.

I just ordered the Sony Blu-Ray Burner (BWU200S); it'll be here Tuesday.
Ok, to my question.

I have Video Studio 10 and I want to buy VS11+ upgrade.
I haven't installed VS10 on the new machine yet and being a purist I'd like to avoid it if possible.

Will the VS11+ upgrade allow me to put in the VS10 CD or enter the code or something instead of actually installing vs10 on my machine first?

Am I going to have problems if I'm forced to install VS10 on Vista?

No, you don't need to have VS 10 physically installed on your machine. The installer will ask for the serial number of the qualifying product at time of installation.
