I initially had the same problem with the boxed UVS 9 upgrade. Using the Repair option of the UVS installer accessed through Add/Remove Programs applet in Control Panel fixed that, but my understanding is that this isn't available in the ESD version.

While trying to install the Ulead VideoStudio 9 DVD Menu Bonus Pack I get the following error message.
Afterwards installation is cancelled.

#############################################################################################
Error from the InstallShield Wizard

Installer cannot find Ulead VideoStudio 9 DVD Menu Bonus Pack on your machine. Please install Ulead VideoStudio 9 DVD Menu Bonus Pack first.
#############################################################################################

What a logic!!!!!

Of course can the installer not find it.
It's gonna be installed right now at that moment.

What stupid thingy is going on here?

Do I do something wrong?
I just so much love those canned no-brainer answers.

These guys or whoever pushed that button to launch this email makes a complete idiot of their customer, don't they?

i dont if you have downloaded the content pack.

I have the main program 171 mb and a content download of 374 mb.

If i open the content download i get another file open erm_?

if i go into this part of the folder it allows me to open up an demo shield.

i then get the bird with camcorder adn a list of options.

one is to install the DVDMenuBonus pack.

Works on mine.

By the way i went into smart download within VS9 and it states i need nearly 750 mb of content to download.

what i dont understand it that it contains cool 3d etc, bonus menus etc which are the same sizes as the opened content file i have already for VS9.

How 750 mb be compressed to 374 mb? doesnt sound right to me?!?!?

One thing which is lacking is movie maker themes. Under VS8 we had about 7 or 8 from memory. THis version has 2. Ulead Tawain tell me you need to dont the extra content which to me appears to be the same!?!?

Depends on the content if there's a lot of text based files such as exe, dll which there will be they compress quite a bit, depending on the compression used as high as 30% or even better. The data files such as images and video will not.

I don't know, I'm just saying it's entirely possible for a 750MB file to be compressed to 300 or 400 MB's. It depends on whether the 750mb's is refferring to the total uncompressed file size or the DL size.

DVDMenuBonusPack

Hi Ballistix,
I'm sure you must have sorted out how to get the "DVDMenuBonusPack"
to install by now but in case anyone has the same problem in future, here's what worked for me:
Install all the smartdownload items and then execute the "DVDMenuBonusPack.exe" file - it should install without any problems.

Willie :D
