I'm using AVCHD files and creating smart proxy files....when I closed my project and then reopened it. Most of my smart proxies would not automatically relink. They existed, because I checked out the folder I put them in...also, when I tell the program to automatically create smart proxies on files larger than a number smaller than my 1440 x 1080 it doesn't make them. I have to right click on each file and request it to make a smart proxy.
I've loaded the 11.5 update and the hd upgrade.
Any thoughts???
Smart Proxy Files Don't Relink when reopening VS11

Hi,
I am new to VideoStudio and like you I am editing AVCHD files. I had numerous problems with Smart Proxy until I realised that I was causing most of them.
Here's my observations
1) Smart Proxy Manager will only automatically make a proxy when inserting clip into the timeline for the first time. Otherwise I have to right click and request it manually.
2) If I mess around with proxy settings in preferences, it looses the links to the proxy files.
3) When I first add all my clips to the timeline, a big queue builds up waiting to be proxied. You can see this through Tools -> Smart Proxy Manager. Shutting down Video Studio before it finishes means the queue is lost on reopening. You have to manually initiate proxy request for all those clips that weren't finished.
I hope it helps.
