Can't access help files! I'm a newbie! Please help!

Post by guitargeorge50 »

Hello,

I downloaded the trial version of Ulead Video Studio 11 and so far have been impressed enough to purchase it but I have only been able to do any editing by guessing at what the different functions and icons do when clicked. When I click "?" for the help files I get a message that says "No help files found." The promo for the trial version says "fully functional trial version." I don't see how I can possibly evaluate this program without having help files to show me how the program works. Perhaps the help files are located in a different folder that I can't find. ??

I really want this program to work out for me but I don't want to invest the money unless I can figure out how to edit my video properly. By the way, I want to move to Ulead Video Studio since I am a former (reformed) Windows Movie Maker user! :D WMM was just not cutting it anymore! :D

Thanks, in advance for any help anyone could give me. I really want this program to work.

By the way, I have my video on the timeline and my separate audio synced to the video but I want to cut out quite a bit of stuff out of both the audio and video but can't seem to figure out how to do that. This video and audio is unedited and I want to use only small parts of it here and there-- not the entire thing. I can't figure out how to do that.

Thanks for putting up with this newbie! :D

Yes, the Help file is not included with the TBYB (trial) versions of VS, to keep the file sizes down. You can get the Manual for VS from HERE.

First I apologize for not trying to answer your second question earlier, looked right over it..

When you already have your audio and video synced it's harder to cut here and there, and keep it in sync. What you can do is render a video file (share>create video file) and use the Same as Project settings or Same as First Video clip. Have Smart Render enabled, and it should render out fairly quick.

Now start a new project, and bring that video file in. Now your audio and video will be together, in sync (hopefully), and you can cut all the pieces out that you need.
