I've just discovered a nasty bug in MF4. It's the first time I've had to create a DVD using a file with 16:9 aspect ratio. When I added text enhancement to some spots in the video, the bounding box in the preview switched from 16:9 to 4:3. Without the text enhancement, it is the correct 16:9. I absolutely must have the text, but in preview mode, the video was squished sideways with black bars on the sides. There was no way to overcome this. I checked all my settings, and everything was set for 16:9. The menus showed in 16:9. Just the video itself got changed to 4:3.
I finally gave up trying to fix it, and proceeded with the burn. Even there, the program gave all the indications of having to re-render the file in 4:3 -- I got a message about the rendering taking a long time, and the hard drive space needed for temporary files was double the size of the video.
But after the burn, when I checked the resulting DVD, Everything was back to 16:9. The DVD burned correctly, even though the program went haywire showing the aspect ratio before the burn.
I realize this is an older version of Movie Factory, and there won't be a fix for this. Has anyone run into the same problem with MF6 Plus? Or DVD Workshop 2? I might upgrade if this problem is fixed, but I don't want to go through the hassle and then have the same issue crop up.
I rarely use this aspect ratio, and don't have a 16:9 TV, but this video was filmed widescreen and is for distribution in-house to members of the company who do have 16:9, so I need it to be correct.

Well just to show that someone is reading your post....
I do have DVDMF4 DC, and DVDMF6+. However like you, I don't have a wide-screen TV, most of my family do not, so I have no way of testing this. I have not shot any video in 16:9 so no material to check it with.
Hopefully someone will respond soon, that does have, have done, and will have the resolution you're after.
