Lost video filters

Lost video filters
During my last project in video studio 10, I had filters in my project and at some point I tried to add additional filters and mysteriously they were not on my drop down list anymore (video, image, transitions, etc.) the filters in my project were still there but they were gone from my list. I tried to use a new project and restart my computer but the video filters were still gone. Should I reinstall or is there a simplier correction?

tried fixes ?? for lost video filters
I attempted the fixes that were recommended in your paste. First I could not find the uvs.ini.file and they weren't hidden. I did locate the vfilter.rsf file and deleted it and it did not work. I realized when i tried to uninstall and reinstall video stuio 10 that the video filters are there before I download the vista patch but once I download the vista patch they dissapear. Any other suggestions.
