DVDMF4 & vista

I cannot load DVDMF4 to my new computer as it runs vista and not XP. is there a patch or update to enable this program.

No I'm sorry there is not. Since DMF4, there have been 2 upgrades, the most current release DVD MF6+ was built to run on Vista. Any earlier versions generally do not get updated for later OS releases.

Clicking on the following link will take you to Ulead's Update web page. Those are all the updates there will be for that version. It was released waaaay back for Win98se.

MF4 - Vista = no
MF5 - Vista = download the Vista update patch
MF6 - Vista ready.

Funny. I have just built and burned a dvd movie in DVD MF 4 SE on Vista x64 :-)

I have quite a few programs that are purportedly not Vista Compliant that will install and run on Vista - it is largely a case of try it and see and to keep in mind that there may be a few niggling problems that you might have to put up with.

The most notable one was Nero.
I found that I could not get Nero 7 to work on Vista despite Nero providing a patch. Out of curiosity I installed Nero 6 and surprisingly that version works!
