Bug? Attributes won't paste completely

Post by randazzo »

In the overlay tracks it should be possible to copy and paste a clip's attributes to another clip in the overlay track. The only attribute that's being pasted is the position on the screen.

Jean-Pierre

You're correct on that. It would seem that Copy/Paste Attributes would include all the attributes, not just the position and size. I would say this is a "bug" that Corel needs to address.

I have submitted this to Corel, and would suggest you do the same. The more people that they receive a complaint or "bug" report from the more likely they will address it.

Thank you for bringing that to our attention. I've never attempted to use that function. :)

What attributes do you mean? Are you also talking about and filters that might be applied? I don't believe they have ever been copyable, although that would be a nice feature.

Yes that may be that they have never been, however I would think it should. I just checked VS10+ and it does not work there too.

I've also emailed the Corel PM for VS about this. Another one of those things being checked out. If it is a bug, maybe it will be corrected in VS20??? (oops I didn't say that did I?? ) ;)

Dear Mr/ Ms Petersen

Thank you very much for your e-mail.

This is not a bug. This is just the way Ulead programmers coded the function Copy Attributes -- which by the way, can only copy the following overlay properties:

1. size
2. position
3. distortion

Please do not hesitate to contact us for any further questions.

Kind regards,
