Ripple Editing not applied to this Action- Moving Clips

Post by forrge »

I am using VS11.5 Plus. I have many clips and want to re-arrange them and keep the titles with the associated video. But when I try dragging the clips to another location, with Ripple Editing Enabled, the following message appears-"Ripple editing will not be applied to this action. Do you want to continue". Ripple editing works when inserting a clip. I tried holding Shift and dragging the clip without any luck. What am I missing?

Ripple Editing not applied to this Action - Moving Clips

I am also using VS 11.5 and getting the same problem as forrge. I have tried to follow the suggested link (http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic. ... 2391#72391
) which explains how to remove or insert a clip but not how to move. I have also followed the YouTube "Ulead VideoStudio Video Tutorial - Ripple Editing" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxFckV6T4G4) but with no luck. What am I missing???

Moving clips is a major shift rather than just a ripple.

I'm only guessing this might work but try shift clicking the video and the title you want to move with it.

I generally have all clips done before turning on ripple editing and start adding titles and such
