Free Book (Included in the Retail Box Version)

Post by randazzo »

"Free Book (Included in the Retail Box Version) - Digital Video Basics - A Guide to Shooting Great Digital Video "

Anyone know if this is a physical book or an e-book and where to find it? It's not in my box version.

Sorry guys. I didn't read very carefully. It's also mentioned on the site. "Not available in the upgrade box".

For what it is worth, I ordered the upgrade the upgrade on the web, received it two days later and it did have the actual book with it. Also, I thought I read somewhere where those ordering the upgrade will in fact get the full version. Even though mine came with the two disks and the book shrinked wrapped, not in a box it said upgrade version, but when installed it does not say upgrade version like the previous versions did.
So far I have not had one problem and have done several movies all turning out great. I see on another posts where some folks say they have had major problems . I think they must be using the downloaded version. :D

The boxed upgrade comes with a printed manual, but not the "Digital Video Basics" book.

LOL

I had this experience last year with VS8. This porblem wil resolve itself in the future. With VS13 no-one even thinks about downloading but will pay glad double the price to not be tortured by the Ulead Download Experience.....brrrr.

So you got everything?...hm. Perhaps you should wait for your credit card statement to see if Ulead doesn't charge you for the FULL version. (LOL again)

Kind regards,

I'm an upgrader and am happy to hear from a UVS9 user that the program doesn't identify us as using "only" the upgrade version any more. My UVS8 tells me it's an upgrade every time I launch the program. However, the only difference between what I have and what somebody else has, is the price. The software itself is exactly the same. We've previously discussed the non-necessity of Ulead identifying people who upgrade, as if we were somehow lower-class. They should love us more! We stuck with their product!
