Bond, James Bond - Help with overlays/masks

Post by ekaminer »

Do you remember the moving eye at the beginning of each James Bond movie? Bond walks on screen in the center of an eye that tracks his movements.

I would like to cut out Bond and put my child in the middle of the eye. The challenge is that the eye moves. VS11 only has static masks. I tried using chromakey to remove the structures in the center of the eye but the colors are present on the outside so there is too much bleeding.

Any suggestions?

I'm not an expert with Cool 3D / Cool 3D Production Studio but I have a feeling that this effect might be achieved with that product. I shall duplicate your post in the Cool 3D forum to see if anyone there has some ideas.
